Smoothie bowl with strawberries

Smoothie bowl with strawberries and blueberries. The peanut butter gives a nice twist to this smoothie bowl, a delicious and refreshing breakfast recipe.
​In case you missed it, the entire month of June is all about Nutorious Peanutbutter on Fridays. Every week I will make a recipe with the peanut butter from Nutorious Peanutbutter. This week I chose the honey/cinnamon variant. I made a smoothie bowl, because why not combining it with peanut butter. If you don’t have these peanut butter from Nutorious Peanutbutter you can also use natural peanut butter or nut butter.

On Instagram you see the most beautiful smoothie bowls. About 6 months ago I wanted to make one for myself as well. I went to look for recipes and found a chocolate smoothie bowl. I made it, but honestly didn’t like it that much. The topping was really good, but after that I was just eating cacao and that flavor was really dominating and a bit boring without any other ingredients.

That is why I chose to add some fruit in the smoothie bowl and not just as a topping and this one turned out really good!

Ingredients
    • 200 grams strawberries
    • 100 grams blueberries
    • 110 milliliters coconut yogurt
  • 55 grams peanut butter (honey/cinnamon)

Topping

  • 10 grams grated coconut

How to make it?

I made this recipe with the peanut butter from Nutorious Peanutbutter in the honey/cinnamon flavor. You can of course also use natural (pea)nut butter for this smoothie bowl.

Wash the strawberries with the crowns still on. Next remove the crowns and cut the strawberries into pieces. Add 150 grams to the blender and set aside the rest.

​Add 50 grams blueberries, 100 milliliters coconut yogurt and 45 grams peanut butter.

Mix the ingredients for 3 minutes into a smoothie. Put the smoothie in a bowl. Keep 1 strawberry and 5 blueberries or the topping and mix the rest through the smoothie in the bowl. You can now make the topping. I used 10 grams peanut butter, 10 milliliters coconut yogurt, 1 strawberry, 5 blueberries and 10 gram grated coconut.  You can vary with the topping.
