Banana Granola. This homemade granola with banana is super easy to make and also a very healthy granola as well with no added sugar.
Granola, I absolutely love it. If you have a bit more time in the weekend or evening you have a new batch of granola in the oven within 10 minutes with this recipe. Let it cool down and the next day you have a lovely breakfast. Granola is very nice in (plant based) yogurt for example with some fresh fruit. But also as a topping on a smoothie bowl or even on pancakes. And because it is super healthy and nutritious you can also just grab a bit as a snack during the day.
Recipe Banana Granola
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Baking time: 20 minutes
Amount: About 400 grams
- Mixing Bowl
- Baking Paper
- Baking Tray
- Airtight Jar
- 1 banana
- 100 grams (gluten free) oatmeal
- 50 grams mixed seeds
- 5 grams cinnamon
- 75 grams unsalted nuts
- 25 millilitres honey
How to make it?
Preheat the oven on 180 degrees Celsius (356 Fahrenheit). Mash the banana with a fork in a mixing bowl. Add the oatmeal. For the mixed seeds you can for example pick flax seed and sunflower seeds. Add those as well. Chop the nuts as small or big as you like and at last add those combined with the cinnamon and honey to the mixing bowl.
Place a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray and divide the granola mixture over the tray. Make sure it is well divided so you don’t have too many big chunks.
Bake the mixture for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven. Pay attention that the baking time may differ per oven. Let the granola cool down properly. You can keep the granola for about one week in an airtight jar.
