French Toast

French Toast, I love it since I was a little girl. When we used to have school vacations my mum made them regularly. Really taste with a layer of brown sugar and crispy edges. Only recently I craved them suddenly and decided to make a healthy recipe in comparison to the one my mum used to make. They turned out perfect including crispy edges and that special French Toast flavor just like I remember from when I was a little girl. I am in love with them again and eat them almost every weekend at the moment.

Ingredients

4 (spelt) slices of bread
1 egg
75 millilitres oat milk
5 grams cinnamon
50 grams coconut blossom sugar
Coconut oil or butter to bake

How to make it?

Beat an egg in a soup plate. The easiest way is to use a fork. Next add the oat milk, cinnamon and the coconut blossom sugar.

Next make sure you mix until all ingredients are absorbed by each other and turned into a whole.

Make sure you mix a bit carefully because otherwise the mixture will be all over your kitchen counter.

Heat a lump of coconut oil or butter in the pan while you make sure the pan gets very hot.Ā Grab one slice of bread at the very tip of the slice and get through the egg mixture one side after the other. Place the slice of bread in the pan and repeat with the other slice of bread.

Bake on medium heat for about 5 minutes before flipping. Bake another 3-5 minutes on the other side.Ā 

You can decorate this French Toast with some coconut blossom sugar like I did. Just like you can also use fresh fruit for example.
