Chocolate chip bliss balls
Chocolate chip bliss balls, these gluten- and lactose free bliss balls are also completely vegan. A delicious snack for during the day and healthy as well.
Yesterday I also shared a bliss balls recipe, but today is International Chocolate Day and that of course means there needs to be a chocolate recipe. A few weeks ago already I made these bliss balls. I can tell you they were so good they only lasted in the fridge for one day. The balls are not only very delicious, of course because of the chocolate, but also healthy and they have a good bite as well.
Today I have a day off and there is a slight possibility I might enter the kitchen to make these lovely bliss balls today. Then I can enjoy them as well before Jens comes home and eats them all. The rest of the day and the weekend I don’t have much planned so I will probably spend a lot of time in the kitchen trying new recipes. And if the weather really gets as good as they say I will definitely enjoy the sun as well.
Preparation time: 10 minutes (+45 minutes waiting time)
Amount: 20-25 balls
- Food processor
- 150 grams pitted dates
- 2 table spoons nut butter
- 100 grams unsalted cashews
- 50 grams lactose free dark chocolate
How to make it?
Put the dates in a bowl with water and let them well for 15 minutes. Chop in the meantime the chocolate into small pieces.
When the dates are welled, you can put them in the food processor with the nut butter and the cashews. Mix in a few minutes into a smooth mixture.
Put the mixture in a mixing bowl and mix the chopped chocolate through to make sure it is included in the mixture. Set in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden and you can roll balls of the mixture.
Enjoy these delicious balls, it is best to keep them in the fridge.
