Chocolate oatmeal porridge with banana. Chocolate in a breakfast makes a healthy breakfast even more festive if you ask me. This healthy breakfast is really easy to make and a comforting breakfast for the colder days.
When 2 weeks ago at work we turned on the ‘The Christmas Station’ I liked the songs and when Jens said we had to visit a big shopping center for Christmas I became enthusiastic as well. Just spontaneously on a Thursday evening we were in the largest Christmas center of the Netherlands in Halsteren and I enjoy it so much! The lights, trains, houses I can watch it for hours and look forward to the days near the fire place with a hot chocolate. We went after work and also ate there which makes me even happier!
If you follow me a bit longer you also know that I don’t like that obligations or obligations in general. If I ‘have’ to do something I just don’t want that and that includes the Holidays. I love being free of course, but for me the going to your parents and parents in law, have fun and dress properly is not really needed. If it was up to me we all wear our jogging pants, watch a Christmas movie and eat nachos haha. Every year I am fighting against it for myself nd it never changes so I’ll just have to accept it once haha. I do like the extra free days during this period near the warm fire place with a hot chocolate and of course a warm breakfast. Like this lovely warm breakfast with chocolate and banana, what else could you wish for?!

How to make it?
First put the almond milk in a saucepan together with the muesli/granola/oatmeal and warm on low heat fire. Make sure it does not boil, otherwise the flavors will disappear a bit.
When the porridge is warm you can put it in a bowl and divide some cacao over it. Chop the chocolate and divide those pieces over the porridge as well. At last peel the banana, cut into slices and use half a banana per bowl.
