Cashew butter, a super easy and very delicious alternative for peanut butter. The flavor is a bit more sweet and home made always tastes better.
Since I was a child I love peanut butter so much. I really love it and prefer to eat every sandwich, cracker or corn waffle with it. Just like the fact that I love to use it in pancakes, cookies or smoothies. Until I found out about cashew butter, because you can actually make (pea)nut butter from every kind of nut and cashews are really creamy
That is why I tried to make cashew butter myself and with some patience that went really well. When I took it to work my colleagues also liked it a lot. You can also vary with it in different ways, one of my favorites is on a corn waffle with some slices of banana on top, love it!
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Amount: 1 small jar (approximately 300 grams)
Special Products:
- Food Processor
- Airtight jar to store

Ingredients
- 300 grams unsalted raw cashews
- Optional some vanilla

How to make it?
Put the cashews in the food processor and mix in 10 minutes into a smooth cashew butter
It is very fun to watch this process. You will see the nuts crush, next the mixture will become a big ball and when the oil releases later you will slowly turn the mixture into a creamy butter.
Cover a sandwich or corn waffle with the cashew butter, really delicious, sweet and healthy!
