Peanut butter toast with apple

Peanut butter toast with apple. A combination of fibers, proteins and fats in this breakfast makes sure you feel full for a long time. But besides that it is also super delicious.

Gluten free toast

With Deliciously Ella I saw a recipe that looks like this one and it inspired me to make this toast. I used the gluten free sourdough bread from Yam, my favorite. Because we almost never eat bread, I don’t have a toaster so I had to improvise a bit, but it was definitely a successful experiment.

Sunday morning I told Jens about this delicious experiment and he thought of the combination as a bit weird, but still wanted to try it. And it turned out to be a success because he was even a bit disappointed that I had only made 2 of them and I made another 2 for him. That was of course the biggest compliment he could give me. With a toaster you make this recipe even quicker!

Ingredients

2 gluten free sandwiches
1/2 apple
1 tea spoon honey
Pinch of cinnamon
Peanut butter to liking
Coconut oil to bake in

How to make it?
Because I don’t have a toaster I toasted the bread in a dry frying pan and that worked perfect! It only took a bit longer.

Peel in the meantime the apple and cut into parts. Mix in a small bowl with honey and cinnamon. Make sure all ingredients are mixed properly and the apple has absorbed the honey and cinnamon.

In the meantime heat some coconut oil in a grill- or frying pan and lay the apple parts in it. Let them bake for approximately 5 minutes on medium height fire you will see when you try to flip them they will color a bit darker. Bake for several minutes on the other side and they are ready.

Cover the toast with a (big) layer of peanut butter and cover with the apple.

And this super easy breakfast is ready and so delicious that you want to make it right away.
